Veteran Game Show Host Willie Revillame Asserts He’s Only After the Filipino Audience’s Happiness
WILLIE REVILLAME – The veteran game show host apologized for his outburst in the TV5 show “Wil To Win” and explained his side.
Willie is one of the people in the Philippine showbiz industry who is in the field of game show hosting for several decades now. He has hosted many of the most popular and biggest TV game shows in the Philippines including the Wowowee.
Throughout his showbiz career, Willie may have started as an actor but he is undeniably most popular as a game show host. Who would forget the “bigyan ng jacket ‘yan” line of Kuya Wil?
Currently, Willie Revillame is hosting a game show aired in TV5 — the Wil To Win. It was just in July when it started airing and giving prizes to the Filipino people.
However, as early as the first month of the airing of the game show, Willie Revillame received bashing for allegedly being always “high blood” in the show Wil To Win. Several netizens reacted on the instances the he scolded the staff on live TV.
Some netizens even advised Kuya Wil to just take a rest from hosting game shows as his age may allegedly no longer permit him to have enough patience for a live show. Undeniably, many netizens were angered and disappointed by the 63-year-old game show host’s hosting.
Recently, Willie Revillame spoke on his outbursts during the live airing of Wil To Win. Based on an article on Pep, he explained his behavior in the show.
Willie explained that other people may not understand his behavior that he is mad when they are airing or he embarrasses the staff but it is not that way. According to him, he just wants things to be done right asserting that they have rehearsals prior to the airing.
“Kaya sana maintindihan ninyo kung ako ay nagagalit sa ere dahil, una, nire-rehearse namin yan… Ang point ko lang, bakit pa nagkakamali?” Kuya Wil said.
Willie Revillame does not see any good reason that the staff may not be able to do things right since they have rehearsals. Based on the article, he stressed that he has also a lot to think about but he is able to deliver his job.
Kuya Wil expressed that other people may call him arrogant and proud but he is only after the happiness of the Filipino people. He stressed that he loves his bashers and they can say whatever they want but the show has good intentions.
