Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao advised two-time Olympic gold Carlos Yulo to love his mother and this received different reactions from netizens.

Carlos is now tagged “the golden boy” because of his victorious performance at the Paris Olympics 2024. However, amid his triumph, controversies surfaced. It is because of the rift that he has with his mother Angelica Yulo, which involved his girlfriend content creator Chloe San Jose.

Angelica expressed that she dislikes Chloe for her son but she also apologized for making a comment about the girlfriend of her son.

Carlos Yulo defended Chloe San Jose and shared his side of the story regarding the conflict that happened between him and his mother.

The gymnast has returned to the Philippines after bringing pride to the country and Filipinos celebrated with him. Carlos and other athletes were personally congratulated by President Bongbong Marcos and a parade to honor them was held.

“Mahalin mo ang nanay mo. Huwag ka magtanim, kikim ng samang loob. Mahal na mahal ka sa mama mo, nanay mo. Mahalin mo siya sa lubusan ng pagmamahal bilang nanay, kay mahal na mahal ka niya. ‘Yan lang ang payo ko sa’yo bilang nanay,” the mother of Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao said in the video.

Because of this, Mommy D became a viral topic on X, formerly Twitter. Netizens expressed different reactions to this. Some criticized her for what she said but some netizens defended her saying that there was nothing wrong in her message for Carlos.
