MISSING CHILD – A 6-year-old girl who was playing and suddenly went missing in Mandaluyong City has been found.
On Tuesday (August 13, 2024), Buena Marissa, a Facebook user, posted a distress call about her missing six-year-old daughter, Risha Joy Buena. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to Marissa’s Facebook post, Risha Joy vanished while playing around 6:00 PM in Mandaluyong City.
Marissa expressed her worry, mentioning that her daughter usually doesn’t stray far from home, making her sudden disappearance even more alarming. She appealed for the public’s help in finding her daughter.
The distressed mom shared that the last known sighting of Risha Joy was with her cousins, and her mother was deeply distressed, unable to sleep, and anxious about Risha Joy’s location. Marissa also urged anyone who might have taken Risha Joy to return her to avoid legal consequences.
By the early hours of Thursday (August 14, 2024), Marissa revealed that a netizen named Crystal Balais had seen Risha Joy with an older man in a vacant lot. Crystal reported that the man seemed to be holding Risha Joy inappropriately, which further increased Marissa’s fears. Crystal also noted that the man and the child had boarded a tricycle.
Later that morning, Marissa shared another update indicating that they now knew where Risha Joy was. It appeared that Risha Joy had been taken by someone known to their family without permission.

Marissa’s post shows her frustration and anger, expressing that their search made them appear foolish and that there were underlying family disputes that needed to be resolved.

“Kung may promblema kau sa familya namin wag nyo idadamay Ang Bata halos nahigh blood na ung mama ko kakaisip halos laht kmi wlang tulog,” she said.
