Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz Won’t Attend The Senate Investigation

Contractors Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz to skip Senate hearing regarding complaint of Sandro Muhlach.

GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz to skip the Senate hearing regarding the case of Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach.

Previously, Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach filed charges before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). This was after he filed a complaint to the GMA network against two GMA independent contractors named Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz.

However, the NBI did not name the accused in the complaint filed by the actor.

The lawyer of accused contractors released a statement following the complaints and they were in “deep sadness” because of the accusations. They stressed that the allegations do not mirror what happened and furthered that they will be addressing the matter in the right venue.

Based on a previous article, the case of Muhlach versus the GMA contractors will have a senate hearing, however, the accused are to skip this. According to their legal counsel Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, they will not attend the Senate hearing.

They have already received the invitation to “attend and join in the discussion on the ‘Policies of Television Networks and Artist Management Agencies in Relation to Complaints of Abuse and Harassment” but they are not keen on making an appearance. They would rather follow the criminal procedure.

The respondent are neither talents of GMA Network or Sparkle Artist Center, hence, they do not have the knowledge of the policies of these two. There is a possibility that they might be questioned “which may be tantamount to cross-examination during the trial of the case”.

Senate committee on public information and mass media head Senator Robin Padilla said that they will investigate this incident.

According to the reports, the incident happened at a hotel room after the GMA Gala 2024.
