Megaworld To Gift Carlo Yulo with Luxurious Condo Unit for Olympic Wins
CARLOS YULO – Real-estate company Megaworld upgraded its condo unit reward for the Olympic gold medalist following his back-to-back win.
Filipinos across the nation as well as abroad were left proud and cheering for Caloy who did not only win one but two gold medals in the Olympics. The 2024 Olympics was held in Paris, France.
Carlos Yulo represented the Philippines in the floor exercise where he belched out a 15.00 score that earned him the gold medal. It was a historic moment when the Philippine national anthem was played at the arena following Yulo hitting gold.
The name of Caloy went trending on social media as congratulatory messages flooded the online platforms. Philippine President Bongbong Marcos congratulated Carlos, too, for his Olympic win that brings pride to the Philippines.
In his first message for Caloy, the President expressed his belief that it will not be the last gold medal for the gymnast. The following day after Caloy was awarded gold in the floor exercise, he won another gold in the vault.
Speaking at an interview with One Sports, Carlos Yulo admitted that his second gold medal win was beyond his expectations. According to him, he just wanted to be safe and healthy and that no one from them will be injured.
Caloy winning the second Olympic gold medal made him the first Filipino to have a double gold victory in the prestigious sports event. He is also the first male athlete to bring home a gold Olympic medal for the Philippines.
Aside from his rewards from the government which include the Php 6 million cash reward for Yulo from the House of Representatives, the gymnastics double gold medalist is also set to receive a condominium unit from Megaworld. In fact, following his second gold medal win, the popular real estate firm upgraded its reward for him.
Initially, Megaworld pledged to give Caloy a two-bedroom condominium unit worth Php 24 million. However, following the second Olympic gold medal win of the gymnast, the real estate firm upgraded the reward for him into a three-bedroom condo unit worth Php 32 million based on an article on PUSH.
Aside from the condominium unit, Megaworld also pledged to give Carlos Yulo a Php 3-million cash gift in appreciation of his Olympic wins. Vikings Luxury Buffet which initially pledged to give Caloy a free unlimited buffet for life also upgraded its reward for him into a lifetime free buffet in all Vikings Group Buffet brands.
