To receive these benefits, Amoguis was told she needed to purchase products such as Gillette items and Eveready batteries. The scammers promised to return the next day at 10 a.m. to deliver additional products, including rice and other items he had ordered.

However, after sending the payment, Lomibao-Amoguis began to have doubts about the legitimacy of the offer. Her fears were confirmed when the promised delivery did not arrive.

In total, the sari-sari store owner lost P5,820 which was a huge amount for someone just starting out in business. Her post has garnered widespread attention, emphasizing the challenges faced by small business owners and the impact of such scams on their financial stability.
