Boy Abunda and Willie Revillame’s shows were affected by the typhoon
The live shows of King of Talk Boy Abunda and veteran TV host Willie Revillame were canceled due to the typhoon.
On July 24, the National Capital Region, especially Metro Manila experienced heavy rainfall because of Typhoon Carina. Many areas were flooded and people got stranded, just like a mother who was stranded on the roof in Quezon City.
Because of this situation, the entertainment industry is also affected. Based on the article in PEP, Fast Talk with Boy Abunda and Wil To Win canceled their live shows.
Tito Boy’s guests for his July 24 episode were supposed to be brothers Joshua and Jason Zamora. They were members of the hit 90s dance group The Manoeuvres. It was difficult for them to travel from Pampanga to Manila for the guesting because of the heavy rain and North Luzon Expressway was already flooded.
Because of this unexpected incident, FTWBA will air its recorded episode featuring rapper Gloc-9.
Earlier this Wednesday, the management of Wil To Win, the game show of Willie Revillame on TV5, released a reminder to the public that the show will not have its live airing due to typhoon Carina.
“Para sa inyong kaligtasan, pinapayuhan ang lahat na ‘wag nang magtungo sa TV5 Novaliches dahil kanselado po ang lahat ng operasyon at studio audience booking ngayong Miyerkules,” Willie’s show’s announcement stated. However, the show will still air at 5 PM on TV5, BuKo, Sari Sari, and catch-up One PH.
Other showbiz events were also canceled due to the bad weather. The taping for the Kauso fantasy series Sang’gre was canceled. Mark Bautista’s press conference for his upcoming concert My Dreams was moved to a new date. The singer is set to hold his concert at The Theatre of Solaire Resort & Casino on 31, 2024.
