PHILPOP HIMIG HANDOG 2024 – Here’s the list of the Top 12 songs selected for this year’s music festival released by the Star Music.

Which song will be this year’s winner? In this year’s Philpop Himig Handog, the winner will be awarded Php 1 million as the grand prize. The songwriting festival will features 12 songs which focused on the OPM of today – of struggles, emotions, and aspirations.

The selection of 12 songs was made by music institutions PhilPop and Himig Handog. Some of the top music artists of the country were also chosen to interpret the songs. Some of these artists are R&B sensation Maki, singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre, Johnoy Danao, Ice Seguerra, Jolianne, Ferdinand Aragon, P-Pop boyband VXON, and some newcomers in the music industry.

  3. “Dili Na Lang” by Relden Campanilla, interpreted by  Jolianne
  4. “Ghostwriter” by Kevin Yadao, interpreted by Khimo Gumatay
  5. “Kurba” by Alvin Serito, interpreted by Maki
  6. “Langit Lupa” by Geca Morales, interpreted by Lyka Estrella, Annrain and Geca Morales. 
  7. “MHWG” by Rob Angeles, interpreted by VXON
  8. “Papahiram” by Rinz Ruiz, interpreted by Moira and Johnnoy Danao
  9. “Salamat (Nga Wala Na Ta)” by Jimmy Ricks, interpreted by Kurt Fick
  10. “Taliwala” by Maric Gavino, interpreted by Noah Alejandre
  11. “Tulala” by Shantel Cyline Lapatha, interpreted by Extrapolation and Shantel Cyline 
  12. “Wag Paglaruan” by Tiara Shaye, interpreted by Fana and Tiara Shane

The cash prizes for this year’s Himig Handog are PHP 1,000,000 (1st place), PHP 500,000 (2nd place), and PHP 200,000 (3rd place).

Philpop Musicfest Foundation and Himig Handog started the program that mentored budding Filipino composers through their programs such as workshops and songwriting sessions.
