Arci started her showbiz dream through the talent search on GMA. She belonged to the batch in 2005 with Vaness del Moral, Iwa Moto, Jackie Rice, as well as with the late Marky Cielo who was hailed as the Ultimate Male Survivor.
Arci was part of the StarStruck Avenger and there was a perception that she was the most “pasaway” in their batch.
In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Arci debunked this speculation about her. She said, it was “fake news.”
The actress said that she was just being dragged into the issue. She highlighted that she was the one who was “pinakamabait” in their batch because at that time, they were just starting and they were so young. Arci also mentioned that she grew up in a sheltered environment since her parents were very strict. So, it was a surreal experience for her to be in showbiz because she grew up as a shy kid.
Back then, she was discovering a lot of new things for her and she was learning about the culture in the Philippine entertainment industry.
When asked about her biggest learning, she said that it was how to value work. She expressed gratitude to the Kapuso talent search for opening the doors of showbiz opportunity for her. She said that she learned a lot from her experience in StarStruck that she is applying now in her life.
Arci is also appreciative of the people who helped her and who have been there for her from the start. “So, I thank StarStruck, I thank GMA, I really do appreciate it po na how they were able to hone ang isang batang mahiyain,” Arci Muñoz shared.
