On June 23, 2024, the amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter from the Czech Republic, faced a tough night as he experienced not one, but two major defeats in front of a crowd of 20,000 people.
Bukovac first entered the ring for a two-on-one cage fight. Alongside his partner, Patrik Horvath, he faced Jan Michalek. Despite the advantage, Bukovac and Horvath lost the match.
The MMA fighter decided to propose to his girlfriend immediately after the fight. He knelt in the ring and presented a ring to her, hoping to turn the night around. However, his proposal was met with rejection, adding to his already challenging evening.
Taking the microphone from the ring announcer, Bukovac’s girlfriend, whose name was not disclosed, publicly declined his proposal. She explained, “Based on everything that’s happened, I think probably not. I’m saying no.”
The woman went on to accuse the MMA fighter of being unfaithful, stating that he had been flirting with other women. Bukovac denied these allegations, insisting, “I didn’t really cheat on her.” The crowd quickly began to boo Bukovac’s girlfriend.
Despite the athlete’s attempts to persuade her to reconsider, she stood firm in her decision. Tensions escalated when a member of Bukovac’s team threw water at the girlfriend in protest of her rejection.
