Is David Licauco in a relationship?
In a recent interview, Kapuso hunk actor David Licauco revealed the real status of his love life.
David earned the tag “Pambansang Ginoo” because of his character Fidel in the series Maria Clara at Ibarra. In the said series, he had an unexpected chemistry with Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza who played the character of Klay. With that, their tandem in the series was called FiLay.
Because of their onscreen chemistry, they officially became the BarDa loveteam and continued doing projects together.
However, despite the “kilig” that they give to their fans, David and Barbie strictly have an onscreen partnership. It is because the actress has been in a relationship with Kapuso actor Jak Roberto for many years.
Previously, David Licauco and Barbie Forteza said that they are thankful to their fans for knowing their limitations and for respecting their private lives.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the actor revealed that he is in a relationship. However, David refused to divulge the identity of his girlfriend.
“I think we have to empathize with your partner. And for sure, marami kasing problema along the way, kailangan mong lumaban,” the actor said. For him, the best kind of love is understanding and unconditional. He also said that now, he will be more understanding.
In another recent interview, Barbie revealed that there was a time when David followed a girl to South Korea. The actress said that the actor is more hopelessly romantic than her.
“May babae siyang sinundan sa Korea, ibang level. Na hindi alam ng girl, sinurprise niya ang girl. Nagpunta siya ng Korea, may dala siyang rose. Ganu’n ang level ng love ng taong ‘to,” Barbie Forteza shared about David Licauco.
The BarDa loveteam is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso series Pulang Araw with Alden Richards and Sanya Lopez.
