Kind Fast-Food Supervisor Gives Free Meal to Elderly Man Asking for Glass of Water

An elderly man asking for a glass of water from a fast-food restaurant receives a free meal from a kind-hearted supervisor.

Recently, the Facebook account Drew Buena shared a touching story of kindness unfolding at a popular fast food chain. The post quickly spread like wildfire on social media and garnered various reactions from the netizens.

Late one Thursday evening (June 20, 2024), around 9:50 PM, at a Jollibee branch in Riverbanks, North Triangle, Marikina City, an elderly man entered the restaurant. He was only asking for a glass of water, clearly very thirsty as he drank two full glasses.

The restaurant supervisor, identified only as “Khel” on her nametag, noticed the man’s condition. She asked him if he had eaten, and it was apparent that the elderly gentleman was very hungry. What happened next touched the heart of a customer who witnessed the scene.

Instead of just giving water, Khel decided to offer the man a full meal. The elderly man, referred to as “Tatay” was given a Chickenjoy meal, Jollibee’s famous fried chicken dish.

The witness observed that Tatay ate two servings of rice and two pieces of chicken; one spicy and one regular – showing just how hungry he had been.

The customer secretly took photos of the scene and noted how the elderly man seemed to become happier as he enjoyed his unexpected meal.

The fast-food supervisor’s simple act of kindness shows how true kindness, even in small gestures like asking if someone has eaten or offering food, is priceless. The customer emphasized that genuine kindness comes from a pure heart and stems from within.
