Superstar comedian Vice Ganda and others are supposed to perform in the Pride PH Festival March 2024 event but this has been canceled.
Vice Ganda, Marina Summers, BINI, and Juan Karlos are supposed to headline this year’s Pride PH Festival March event. However, unexpected circumstances led to the cancelation of this event that gathered a lot of people.
The Quezon City government and organizers of Pride PH had to cut short the “Love Laban 2 Everyone” Pride Night concert due to bad weather that brought heavy rain. Before the official cancelation, the hosts already announced that the event is paused for the safety of everyone – the performers, organizers, and audience.
Because of this, headliners BINI, Vice Ganda, and Gloc-9 were not able to perform. Prior to the show, at least 70,000 people wearing Pride colors and carrying placards walked the streets of Quezon City.
Speaking about the canceled show, Vice reached out to the people to expressed his apology, share the reason why it happened, and reminders through social media. As declared, it is already not safe to continue the event because of the bad weather.
The top priority is the safety of everyone and the comedian reminded them to take care of each other. The organizers decided to prioritize the well-being and safety of all resulting in early ending of the evening’s program.
“Malungkot man kami pero kailangan po nating unahin ang seguridad at safety ng lahat ng tao na naroroon. Kaya sa lahat ng mga nag-aabang ay paumanhin dahil hindi na po matutuloy ang performance ko at lahat po ng mga magaganap pa sana sa pride event,” the comedian expressed in his Instagram story.
Part of the festival was a march that started along Tomas Morato Avenue that made its way to the Quezon Memorial Circle.
