Kapuso Actress Barbie Forteza Looks Up To Kathryn Bernardo
BARBIE FORTEZA – The Kapuso actress spoke on Kapamilya Star Kathryn Bernardo and being compared with the actress.
The network war is over between the ABS-CBN and the GMA-7 which are two (2) biggest networks in the Philippines. Meanwhile, even when the Kapamilya network still had a franchise, several stars under both networks are looking forward to work with the stars in the other network to widen their experience.
Visibly, each of the networks have their actors and actresses who rose above the rest. In the Kapuso network, one of the most brilliant young actress is Barbie Forteza. She did several hit projects and played several roles that captured the heart of countless viewers.
Undeniably, there are comparisons between Barbie and Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo. Kathryn, a multi-awarded actress, is one of the biggest stars in ABS-CBN and the Philippine showbiz industry. To this, the Kapuso actress reacted and made revelations.
Recently, at the grand media conference of the movie That Kind of Love which is starred by Barbie Forteza and loveteam partner David Licauco, the actress was asked which pressures her more — being compared with Kathryn Bernardo or being pushed that she and David will be in a relationship.
The grand media conference was held at Plaza Ibarra in Timog Avenue, Quezon City. The Kapuso Star admitted that she does not really know how to answer the question. Based on a report on Pep, she admitted that Kathryn is one of the stars that she looks up to in the showbiz industry.
“She really handles her career and personal life really, really well. And that is why there’s no doubt kaya maraming brands ang naa-attract niya,” she said.
According to Barbie Forteza, to be acknowledged or noticed and compared with Kathryn Bernardo, is a “very big honor” for her. She also admitted that she is also one of those who hope to work with Kathryn. Barbie’s loveteam partner, David Licauco, also hopes to be working with the Kapuso Star in a project and he does not mind if he will be doing a supporting character’s role.
Barbie and David have worked together in two (2) hit Kapuso primetime series, Maria Clara at Ibarra and Maging Sino Ka Man. Barbie and David will also star another TV series, Pulang Araw, which will be streamed on Netflix starting July 26.
