Is Chinese passport holder Guo Hua Ping the real name of Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo?
On Tuesday, June 18, Senator Win Gatchalian raised this question holding the documents from the Board of Investments (BOI) and Bureau of Immigration (BI). This is connected to the investigation of Bamban’s mayor true identity, who is currently suspended.
In a previous article, it has been reported that Guo was suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman due to her alleged links with Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) in her municipality.
She’s at the center of the Senate investigation after several documents showed her involvement in the processing of documents for POGO operations.
“Alice Guo might be Guo Hua Ping, who entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003, when she was 13 years old,” Gatchalian said to the reporters.
Based on the documents from the family application for a Special Investors Resident Visa (SIRV) of Guo family, Guo Hua Ping was born on August 31, 1990. The registered mother was named Lin Wen Yi and it was also indicated that she entered Philippines on January 12, 2003 when she was still 13 years old.
The senator earlier suspected that Len Wen Yi is Bamban mayor’s real mother contrary to what she said that she is the love child of her father and a woman named Amelia.
Alice’s real identity is under investigation following the suspicious responses she made during a probe with her most iconic: “Hindi ko na po maalala, Your Honor.”
Her inconsistent testimonies about her background and the doubtful documents that can prove her Filipino citizenship have put her under the microscope.
