Recently, the TikTok account “heightsandfrights” shared a video revealing the behind-the-scenes process of how dishes and kitchen utensils get cleaned at fast-food restaurants. The video elicited comments from the online community.
The video shows the efficient yet startling methods employees use to wash items quickly. A fast-food crew member is first seen cleaning out the drainage area, removing any residue from the water to prevent clogs.
The employee then begin arranging dirty dishes onto trays. After just a few moments, he turns on a powerful compressor and begins rapidly spraying each dish with a high-pressure hose.
Notably, they do not appear to use any sponges or soap during this cleaning process for the utensils. Once all the dishes have been sprayed down, the employee gives the drainage area another rinse before moving onto the next batch.
