Bela Padilla received too early congratulations because of fake news
Actress-director Bela Padilla slammed the fake news claiming that she tied the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend Norman Ben Bay.
Bela went public with her relationship with Norman in 2020. The couple received warm responses from the online community. Many celebrities and fans congratulated the actress for her blooming love life and her happiness was radiating every time she shared posts with Norman.
Just recently, the multihyphenate star received messages from people congratulating her but she made these stop.
It was because of a post on YouTube claiming that she and Norman got married. In her post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Bela Padilla shared the link to a YouTube video with her and Norman Ben Bay’s photo.
“Can we all please report this account that keeps spreading fake news. That clickbait photo is from a teleserye scene,” she said. The thumbnail included a photo of a couple inside a church.
In another tweet, the actress asked the public to stop sending messages to her congratulating her. “Not married. Stop congratulating me guys [face with tears of joy emoji],” she wrote.
On her Instagram Story, Bela also shared her reaction to fake news about her relationship status.
She said that her day got ruined by people congratulating her because they believed the clickbait videos that she and Norman got married. “Not married yet, guys. Save the congratulations for another day,” Bela Padilla stressed.
Meanwhile, Bela shared last May an unexpected moment when she was riding the tube. She witnessed two ladies stealing some stuff inside a bag that was left by someone. Bela and the people inside the tube did nothing. She said that with this, she realized that she was indeed in London because people don’t report this kind of bad behavior.
