PAGASA Says Habagat to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that habagat will bring scattered rain showers over parts of the country.

On Saturday (June 15, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that Southwest Monsoon is affecting the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

PAGASA reported that habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan.

The localized thunderstorm will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas, Metro Manila, and the rest of the country.

The difference between the actual air temperature and the temperature that a person feels is known as the heat index. Heat exhaustion and cramps are possible in this risk category, and heat stroke is likely if exposure to the heat persists.

To avoid dehydration, the public was encouraged to continue drinking a lot of water by the Department of Health.

Additionally, it asked people to only leave the house in the morning or the afternoon rather than at noon. If one wants to keep their body cool, they should also dress in loose, light clothing.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
