Kim Chiu Hopes Xian Lim Will Stop Speaking on Breakup
KIM CHIU – The Kapamilya actress-TV host seemingly went emotional while giving a short message for her ex-boyfriend, Xian Lim.
Xian and Kim are among the celebrities who dated for more than a decade but their relationship ended up in a breakup. The celebrity former couple were together for 12 years and they were also on-screen partners in several hit projects.
Kim and Xian, collectively called by their fans and supporters “KimXi”, worked opposite each other on the hit television series My Binondo Girl and The Story of Us among others. They also worked together in the movies Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo, Bride For Rent, and Past Tense.
The two (2) celebrities are among those who known showbiz personalities who are lowkey in their relationships. However, in December 2023, countless KimXi fans and supporters were left saddened when Kim Chiu announced her breakup with Xian Lim.
The breakup of Xian and Kim was surrounded by issues and speculations. There were alloegations of third party on the side of the actor which he denied. There were also rumors that Xian had asked Kim to cook a steak before he broke up with her.
Xian Lim also cleared the “steak issue” debunking the rumors. Xian also previously expressed that his relationship with Kim was not toxic and they were able to last for 12 years as they worked hard to make their relationship work and protect each other.
The actor-film producer also stressed that he does not want to be remembered for the breakup but for living truthfully. He is currently in a relationship with film producer Iris Lee.
Kim Chiu has always remained mum on the issues and rumors surrounding her breakup with Xian Lim. Recently, in a quick interview with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe, the Showtime host who is seemingly full over the statements released by her ex-boyfriend on their breakup spoke regarding the matter.
According to Kim, she does not want to dwell in the past. She stressed that she wants a fresh start and a new beginning in entering 2024. She also recalled her post when she confirmed their breakup that it will be the last time that she will talk about it but many people are still talking about her and Xian’s separation.
“Pero parang ang dami pa rin. Parang hindi naman siya mapag-uusapan kung no one’s lighting the fire,” the Kapamilya star said.
During the interview, Kim Chiu seemingly went emotional when she gave a message for Xian Lim. In her message to her ex-boyfriend, the actress said that their journey was beautiful and she does not anymore want to have hard feelings.
“The journey was beautiful, so… Ayoko nang maging masama ang loob ko,” the actress said while becoming emotional.
According to Kim, one of the reasons why she did not speak on their breakup is because she does not want to hurt anyone.
“Kasi paulit-ulit na lang. Let’s give it a rest and let’s leave respect to each other,” the actress said.
