Matinee Idol Ian Veneracion Speaks on “Addition” & “Subtraction” in his Life
IAN VENERACION – The handsome actor revealed his life’s mantra that helped him achieve his status in life now.
Ian is one of the most handsome actors in the Philippine entertainment industry. He is a matinee idol who has transitioned into an action star. He is one of the actors who is private about his family life despite his celebrity status.
Ian Veneracion is married to a non-showbiz woman, Pam Gallardo. They have three (3) children — Deirdre, Tristan Draco, and Duccio. The actor’s kids grew up away from the limelight of showbiz.
The actor is currently 49 years old but he only gets more and more handsome as he age. He remains to be the ultimate crush of a lot of woman across ages — including titas and lolas.
During his recent guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Ian Veneracion shared that he’s always being teased that his market are titas and lolas but he is really proud of them who are supportive of him. According to the actor, he always say that his army of titas and lolas are the “discerning ones” and he really appreciates it.
Ian also shared that he now knows how to choose the project that he will do and refuse those that are not suited on his taste. He admitted that he is not comfortable taking his shirt off in doing a project as he is not comfortable with his body.
Meanwhile, he is now lucky for the chance to be able to pick the project that he wants to do. Ian Veneracion revealed his life’s mantra that helped him get to his status now and what he did when he was 35 and 40.
During the interview, Ian said that before he reached 35 years old, he was “all addition” in his life. He wanted more cars, more friends, and more clothes. When he reached 35 or 40, he started “subtracting”.
“So when I got to mga 40, I had to do subtraction. Bawas kaibigan, pipiliin ko lang yung mga kaibigan. Bawas damit, bawas luho, bawas lahat so I can arrive at this position,” the actor said.
Ian Veneracion said that his life’s mantra is to be not luxurious and to find beauty in simplicity. It led him to the position wherein he is able to say “no” if he does not want to do a project.
“Hindi magagastos na lifestyle and finding the beauty of the mundane and simple things. I made that my mantra,” he said.
