On Friday (June 7, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio reported that the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.
Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi
Possible flash floods or landslides are expected in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
