PAGASA Says Frontal System to Bring Scattered Rains Over Parts of PH

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a frontal system would bring scattered rains over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (June 4, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The frontal system will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that the frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers over parts of extreme Northern Luzon.

“Mostly areas po ng Northern Luzon ay makakaranas ng maulan na panahon, so asahan po natin ang kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkidlat, at pagkulog,” said Torres.

It will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Abra, and Ilocos Norte.

The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over extreme Northern Luzon and the rest of the country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.

On the other hand, no weather disturbance was detected near the Philippine area of responsibility.

At 42 degrees Celsius at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Pasay City station, and 42 degrees Celsius at the Science Garden in Quezon City, PAGASA said that the heat index in Metro Manila will be among the areas under danger level.

It was recommended to the public to take preventative measures against heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and cramps.
