Vice Ganda Reacts To Statement Issued by Showtime Searchee Axel Cruz
Vice Ganda apologized to Showtime searchee Axel Cruz over the viral “nakaw na halik” issue which he clarified was not how others perceived it.
Countless Filipinos watch the daily episode of Expecially For You which is a segment of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show It’s Showtime. The show is currently airing on GMA-7 channel, one of the biggest merging of the two (2) giant networks which also ended the network war.
In the recent episode of Expecially For You, a certain part went viral when a Showtime searchee’s face leaned closer to the searcher when he was given the chance to give a parting message to her.
Vice Ganda who was surprised intervened and reminded Showtime searchee Axel Cruz not to do it and to ask permission from the searcher, Marie Christine. Online, the searchee received negative criticisms and bashings.
Showtime searchee Axel Cruz issued a statement clarifying the “nakaw na halik” issue. According to him, he did not intend to steal a kiss from her but it was a “brocode” instead that he wanted to do but she was surprised.
He apologized to her and as well as to the public who saw it differently based on the angle taken by the camera. Meanwhile, he remains grateful to have been a part of an episode of the show.
Axel stated in his viral post that he just wanted to explain his side. He asked the netizens to stop posting the uncut versions of the episode and to stop sending him hate messages over it. He is grateful to everyone who supported him.
Vice Ganda reacted to the statement issued by Showtime searchee Axel Cruz. The Unkabogable Star apologized for his reaction during the segment. According to him, he and the other people at the studio perceived that the girl felt “off” when he did it. Meanwhile, since the girl is okay as the Showtime searcher also broke her silence on the issue, the comedian apologizes to the searchee.
