Grieving Dad Recalls What Happen Before Road Accident that Took Lives of his 2 Children

GRIEVING DAD – A father, together with his wife, is calling for justice over the death of their 7-year-old son and unborn baby in a road accident in Bohol.

The road can be among the riskiest places most especially when the drivers would show no concern for their safety as well as the safety of the other drivers and pedestrians. There is a huge important in following the traffic rules to avoid accidents which may result not only in damages but in loss of lives — like what recently happened in Sikatuna, Bohol.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a grieving dad and his wife are calling for justice over the death of their two (2) children — one a 7-year-old boy and an unborn child. A road accident led to the death of their children.

The closed circuit television or CCTV footage showed that a family consists of a father, his pregnant wife, and their son are aboard a motorcycle when the accident happened. A closed van tried to overtake but hit the motorcycle instead.

Elizer Biatinggo, the grieving dad, was the one driving the motorcyle that carried his little family. According to him, they were supposedly on their way to buy some rice. Based on the report, he claimed that his wife was able to make hand signals to the van driver before the accident took place.

According to Biatinggo, when he glanced at the side mirror of his motorcycle, the van was still far from them but when he maneuvered his motorcycle to go left, it was already near them and the accident happened.

However, the grieving dad claimed that the van driver did not help them but instead fled although he knew what happened.

“Pagkaliwa ko, doon na… malapit na pala siya. Ayun, tinamaan niya kami. Nakita niya naman kami kasi huminto siya, bigla na lang siya humarurot,” Biatinggo said.

Based on the report, the wife of the motorcycle driver and their 7-year-old son were thrown to the other side of the road by the collission. He claimed that he was shouting for help but no one came near them to help them and it took a while before an ambulance came.

The grieving dad and his wife lost both their 7-year-old son and their unborn baby from the accident after both were declared dead on arrival. The couple who is left with no more living children are currently admitted in the hospital and the wife has to undergo an operation to deliver their baby.

Elizer Biatinggo said that he has yet to talk to the van driver who surrendered to the authorities the day after the accident happened in Bohol. He expressed that he will really file a case against the suspect to give justice to the death of his two (2) children.
