Authorities Arrest Snatcher After Returning The Wallet & Phone He Stole
CEBU CITY – A male snatcher was arrested after returning the stolen wallet and phone to the female victim.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the personnel of Pari-an Police Station arrested the suspect identified as Eduardo Nillas Jr., who initially intended to take the victim’s cellphone and wallet. However, he felt sorry for her and returned the items.
The suspect allegedly robbed a 21-year-old woman on Junquera Street in Cebu City at 2:45 a.m. in Barangay San Antonio.
The anonymous victim reported that she was walking along Junquera Street when Nillas suddenly snatched her smartphone valued at P10,000 and a wallet containing P4,000 cash.
The female college student attempted to resist, but she fell and injured her knees during the struggle. Nillas, who is currently detained at Pari-an Police Station, admitted that he was about to escape but stopped when he heard the victim crying.
Feeling sorry for the victim, he returned the student’s wallet and cellphone. Meanwhile, police officers patrolling Junquera Street came across the victim and learned about the incident. This led to Nillas’ arrest.
The police authorities stated that Nillas may face theft charges.
