According to Trinidad, the grandma identified as Lola Lita approached her at her stall in the market asking for P1. When she gave Lola Lita five pesos, the elderly woman refused, saying it was more than enough for what she needed.
Bham then inquired further about Lola Lita’s situation. She revealed that she was begging for money to pay for her grandchild’s graduation picture, which cost P180. Lola Lita tearfully explained that they didn’t have enough money, so she was asking for help.
“Tanging c lola talga ang inaasahan upang magkroon sila ng pang araw araw na pagkain at pangangailan. Nagagawa ni lola mamalimos kung saan saan lugar. Para matugunan ang kanilang pangangailan. C lola ang ang nagtataguyod sa knyang mga apo ng pang baon para makapg tapos ng pag aaral,” Trinidad wrote.
Dellosa not only gave her more money but also provided her with some food to take home after she was moved by the senior citizen’s plea. The small act of kindness meant they would have something to eat that day.
