Dina Bonnevie Admits Reaching Point of Not Wanting To Have Boyfriend

DINA BONNEVIE – The veteran actress spoke about her unexpected love with her husband Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano.

In the Philippine entertainment industry, one of the most popular actressses and visibly one of the most beautiful ones, too, is Dina or also popularly called “Miss D” by her fellow celebrities. She’s a multi-awarded actress with 2 FAMAS awards, 2 Luna Awards, and multiple Best Actress wins and nominations.

Dina Bonnevie is known as the Drama Queen of her generation. Her mother, Jeanette Schaer, is Swiss and her father, Honesto Bonnevie, is French-Italian-Filipinos. She’s one of the actresses who started young in showbiz.

In 1982, Dina married Vic Sotto. Their marriage is blessed with the lives of their two (2) children, Danica and Oyo Boy. However, their marriage did not last. They eventually separated over third party issues on the part of the actor.

Coney Reyes was involved in the separation of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie. She was his co-host in Eat Bulaga while she’s her best friend. After the split, Danica and Oyo lived with their mother.

Now, the former couple have their own lives. Dina has forgiven Vic and Coney and the two (2) actresses have even went on the same church. After seeing how Coney draws people to the Church, she said that she could not hate that woman.

Dina Bonnevie is now married to DV Savellano, an undersecretary in the Department of Agriculture (DA). During her recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the veteran actress admitted that she reached the point when she did not anymore want to have a boyfriend.

According to her, she did not expect that she will be finding love again. Aside from not wanting to have a boyfriend then after several failed relationships, she also did not want to date.

Dina Bonnevie was already 50 years old then and love came at an unexpected moment. She even jested about her age on that day.

“Sabi ko nga, ‘Lord, parang meron nang nakasulat sa noo ko na ‘Consume before January 27,'” the veteran actress said.

During the interview, Dina further shared asking God to tell her if she is not meant to find love again as she will not anymore exert efforts for physically beautifying herself. She also prayed to give to her right away if He will give her someone and he came.

It was in 2012 when DV Savellano and Dina Bonnevie got married. He was the Ilocos Sur Vice Governor then. Following her different experiences in love, the veteran actress believe that it is only by truly loving one’s self, accepting both the good and the bad, that one is set to find love.
