Maymay Entrata had her fair share of critics
Kapamilya actress-singer Maymay Entrata shared that this is how she deals with bashing or negative comments against her.
Maymay rose to fame through the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother. From that, she was given acting stints. She also had some hosting projects, and eventually, she ventured into music, releasing her songs, including her viral hit Amakabogera.
Just like many celebrities, Maymay also faced criticism. She had her fair share of bashers, who would blatantly say hurtful things to her.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Maymay Entrata said that she has learned to ignore the negative comments.
“Hindi ko siya nababasa pero may nagsasabi sa akin. Kasi as much as possible, hindi ako nag-o-open ang social media, or hindi ako nagbabasa tungkol sa akin, whether it’s positive or negative,” the Roja star said.
She stressed that she does not let those negative comments from people to mold her personality. Maymay would just learn about this through the members of her family.
Meanwhile, the actress-singer recently released a new song titled Masunog Man. She shared that it took her a while to create a Filipino song since the last one she did was an English song.
“Parang, ilang years na bago ako nag-release ng Tagalog song. Yung nag-push sa akin para mag-comeback siya, natural lang siya. Biglaan siya. Nagdecide na lang kami,” she shared.
Maymay Entrata also shared that writing her new song was her way of pouring her emotions after her mother died. She chose not to tell the public that she was going through while dealing with grief, and she just channeled this into her music.
The actress-singer shared that the song really resonated with her. “Yung second verse po yun. ‘Buo ang pusong sugatan. Ubos nang luha ko. Sa tahimik kong kuwarto, sumasayaw ng mag-isa. Kasabay sa alon. Ako ay babangon,‘” the Kapamilya star shared.
Aside from her career, Maymay’s love life is also blooming now. She introduced her new boyfriend Joaquin Enriquez on social media just recently.
