Veteran actress Dina Bonnevie recalls the time when young Vico Sotto used to avoid because of this reason.
To recall, veteran celebrities Dina Bonnevie and Vic Sotto used to be married. They tied the knot in 1982 but four years after, they separated. Their marriage got annulled in 1992 but what left them connected is their children Danica and Oyo.
Vic has a son with another veteran actress Coney Reyes, Vico Sotto, who is now the current Mayor of Pasig. She recalled the time when the young Vico used to avoid her all the time. They attend the same church but she noticed that he was always running away from her.
She asked her one day, “Why are you always running away when you see me?”
The young Vico answered, “Because I know that I remind you of sin every time you see me.”
To recall, one of the reasons why Vic and Dina separated was because of Reyes. She and Sotto have an affair which brought them Vico.
Recollecting that moment with Vico, Dina recalled how she told him that it was not his fault, that he has nothing to do with anything that has happened. She used to give him toys actually when he was little as Oyo had a lot of toys.
She added, “And I was the one who eventually told the kids na, ‘This is your brother. You have to love him. It’s not his fault that he’s in this world.’”
In the interview with Boy Abunda, she shared Danica used to hate her half-sibling but she would always be the one to mediate her and remind her of things she should know. But now, they are very close and she and Vic, despite a rough past, eventually became on good terms.
