BRIDGETTE DE JOYA – The former celebity who was jailed for four years and now works as a security guard received a motorcycle from Julius Babao.

While there are a lot of new celebrities in the Philippine showbiz industry, there are also many people who have once been in the limelight and have left their career for different reasons. Bridgette is one of the former celebrity performers who went through a different path after sometime in the entertainment industry.

Bridgette de Joya was jailed for four (4) years due to her alleged involvement in drugs — which she remains to deny until now. In a recent interview with Julius Babao for his YouTube channel Unplugged, the former celebrity stressed that she is allegedly just a victim of “tanim droga” by the policemen who arrested her in 2018.

According to Bridgette, it was impossible for her to take drugs as she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment then for her battle against cancer. She was behind the bars for four years and now works as a security guard.

Bridgette just wants a motorcycle which can help her in transporting to work daily. She also hopes that by having her own motorcycle to work, she can save some of her salary which is usually ran out by the expenses.

The former celebrity is married to her non-showbiz husband Fortunato Catacutan who is also a security guard. Its been 24 years since she left showbiz. She is most popular for the films Kangkong and Gigil which were both released in 2000.

Now, Bridgette de Joya is working a school guard which is a noble job that she is proud of. In an interview with Pep, she shared that she grew up in the United States as she was adopted by grandmother. She is fluent in speaking English.

Based on the article, Bridgette grew up in the states until she was 13 years old when she returned to the Philippines. Her grandmother had lung cancer so she cannot take care of her anymore then.

She continued her studies in the Philippines but she got dropped out from school when she was in her second year in high school. In showbiz, she was under Seiko Films.
