David Licauco stressed that he has been a fan of Kathryn Bernardo for many years
Kapuso actor David Licauco reacted to the allegation that he is a clout chaser for mentioning Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo during an interview.
David expressed in an interview that it is his dream to work with Kathryn. Because of this, he received accusations that he was riding on Kathryn’s name to achieve the fame that he wanted in showbiz.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the Kapuso actor debunked the allegation against him.
David Licauco stressed that it was not his intention to use Kathryn Bernardo for fame as he admitted that he had been a fan of the actress way before he entered the entertainment industry.
He also stressed that he was just being honest with his answer when asked who he wanted to work with in the future.
“Hindi naman sa sasakay ako or something. I think I’m just being true to myself na siguro like I was looking up to her before. Noong bata ako, siya yung pinapanood ko. So actually ‘dun sa interview na I had, eh talagang sinabi ko lang kung ano ‘yung dream ko,” he said.
David also shared that before, he really watched Kathryn’s movie with her former reel and real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla. He said that he and his girlfriend before would really go to the cinema to watch the KathNiel movie. The actor said that with his admiration for the actress, it was just natural for him to say the truth about what he felt.
Just recently, David Licauco had the chance to pose for a photo with Kathryn Bernardo during an event for a popular garment brand.
