Sarah Lahbati says she is not a vengeful person
Actress Sarah Lahbati believed that “karma never fails” because she is not someone who will seek revenge on those who have done her wrong.
Sarah is having her showbiz comeback this year after many years of taking a break from acting. The actress focused on being a wife to her now-estranged husband actor Richard Gutierrez and a mother to her two sons Zion and Kai. After her hiatus for 8 years, Sarah will have her TV comeback through the series Lumuhod Ka sa Lupa.
Although she had some showbiz appearances and endorsements, for many years, Sarah has not done acting stints.
Based on the article in Inquirer, Sarah Lahbati’s new series was based on a book by Carlo J. Caparas that was made into a movie in the 80s starring the late Rudy Fernandez. The story revolves around the characters’ quest for justice. Along their journey, they would be at a crossroads whether their vengeance will continue or love will prevail.
Sarah shared that she accepted the offer to do this project because the timing was right. After reading the material, she immediately thought that the role fits her. Initially, she was nervous because it had been a long time since her last acting project but as weeks went by, she was able to adjust.
The actress also said that, unlike the characters in the series, she does not seek revenge in real life.
“I don’t seek revenge because I always protect my peace. There’s power in prayer, and karma never fails,” Sarah said. She also said that she would not say to someone the powerful title of their series.
“Instead of saying ‘Lumuhod Ka sa Lupa’ to someone who has wronged me, I would say ‘Bahala ka sa buhay mo,'” the actress shared.
Meanwhile, Sarah Lahbati reacted to her recent photo with a guy in Hong Kong which elicited relationship rumors. She stressed that she met with her friends in the said country and that guy was one of them. On the other hand, when asked about the rumors linking Richard Gutierrez and Barbie Imperial, she simply said, “no reaction.”
