Pokwang Demands Lee O’Brian For Child Support
POKWANG – Filipino host-comedian Marietta Tan Subong a.k.a. Pokwang urged ex-partner Lee O’Brian to provide child support.
Pokwang and O’Brian, who were together for around six years, welcomed Malia O’Brian into the world in 2018. Their separation was confirmed by the couple in July 2022.
The comedian’s split from O’Brian has become a contentious subject on social media, sparking varied opinions on the reasons behind their relationship’s demise. The comedian has garnered support from her fans and those who empathize with her situation.
In June 2023, Pokwang initiated legal action, filing a deportation complaint and visa cancellation against O’Brian, alleging that he had been residing in the country on a tourist visa for the past eight years.
In response, Lee O’Brian submitted a counter-affidavit, but the Bureau of Immigration (BI) issued a ruling in December ordering his deportation. During the same month, Pokwang allowed O’Brian to spend time with their daughter, Malia, stating that she did so for the child’s happiness.
Directly addressing her former partner Lee O’Brian, Pokwang demanded child support for their six-year-old daughter, Malia. Pokwang made this request through the comments section of Atty. Bernice Piñol-Rodriguez’s Instagram video, wherein the attorney elaborated on the rights of single mothers to seek financial assistance from estranged partners, even if the child is over 18 years old.
Expressing her gratitude to the attorney, Pokie wrote, “Grabe, thank you [attorney]. Napakalaking tulong. God bless you po.”
Approximately a week later, the Kapuso actress revisited the Instagram post and commented, “Hoy, [Lee O’Brian], ano na? Panay lang party at golf kasama ng mga pokpok? Mag-support ka hoy!”
The American actor made no immediate public response to Pokwang, just as he had done before.
In a previous article, the comedian shared a post about being a single mom and being blamed for the failed relationship with O’Brian.
