Teacher Salutes Parent Who Suspends Own Child: ‘Salute to this kind of parent’

A male teacher praised a parent who suspended her child to address its misbehavior, saying, ‘Salute to this kind of parent’.

Richard Mejia, a Facebook user, shared a screenshot of a parent’s comment on another post, accompanied by the caption “Napakagandang mindset. Salute to this kind of parent.” The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.

Mejia portrayed the commendable actions of an unidentified parent who declared their intention to suspend their child due to disciplinary issues.

According to the parent’s comment, they informed the teacher that they would be suspending their child, who had been complained about by the teacher. The parent stated that they had assigned their child three days of house cleaning as a form of reflection.

Since then, the parent has not heard any further complaints from the teacher. She emphasized the importance of discipline from the home rather than just relying on teachers, especially given that all their children are boys.

Many netizens agreed with the parent’s approach, acknowledging the challenges of being reprimanded by others for their children’s behavior and advocating for parental involvement in discipline.

However, some voiced concerns about the parents who defend their children despite evidence of misbehavior, disrespecting the authority of teachers, and complicating disciplinary measures.
