Julia Barretto, Carlo Aquino Begin Shooting Upcoming Film “Hold Me Close” In Japan
JULIA BARRETTO – Actress and vlogger Julia Barretto and actor Carlo Aquino begin shooting the upcoming film “Hold Me Close” in Japan.
Carlo Aquino and Julia Barretto are collaborating once again for the upcoming movie “Hold Me Close.” In a recent Instagram post by VIVA Films and Viva Artists Agency, Aquino and Barretto were featured in poster-like photos as they film scenes in Japan.
The caption read, “Konnichiwa! @juliabarretto X @jose_liwanag 🎬#HoldMeClose NOW FILMING in Japan with Jairus Aquino and Migo Valid. Written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana. COMING SOON!”
Fans expressed excitement in the comments section about this new project. “Hold Me Close” was hinted at by Laxamana over a week ago, with photos of Carlo Aquino and Julia Barretto during their look test.
Both Aquino and Barretto also shared about the project on their own Instagram accounts. This isn’t the first time they’ve collaborated; they previously worked together in 2022 for “Expensive Candy,” another film by Laxamana.
In a previous article, Marjorie Barretto said that she prepared herself before watching her daughter‘s movie Expensive Candy with Aquino. “Medyo I have to prepare myself for that. This is a grown-up Julia, you know, but a better definitely version of her,” Marjorie said. The celebrity mom also shared that Julia had her “basbas” in doing this movie.
Before “Expensive Candy,” Barretto starred in Laxamana’s 2019 movie “Between Maybes,” alongside Gerald Anderson. In January of the current year, Aquino was in Japan filming his reunion movie with Barbie Imperial.
Barretto is also slated to appear in the upcoming dramedy series “Secret Ingredient.”
