More and more sources are claiming the big possibility of Kapamilya It’s Showtime replacing the Tahanang Pinakamasaya in GMA. The latter noontime show is produced by Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) and it ended its run on March 8, 2024.
For now, Lunchtime Movie Hits is being aired in the empty slot left by the TP.
In a previous article, based on the the writing of L. Guerrero of Pilipino Star Ngayon, Showtime will soon be aired in GMA as the replacement and ABS-CBN and GMA are just ironing the details of this agreement before making the big announcement.
Currently, Showtime is aired in GTV which started in July 2023. They left TV5 when they were offered a delayed telecast to give way for “Eat Bulaga!” of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. To recall, TVJ and other EB hosts left GMA last May 2023 following some internal problems that surfaced when some changes were made in the management of TAPE, producer of the noontime show.

As the leading source of showbiz stories, what did the connections of Diaz said about this? In the new video uploaded in his channel, he has accordingly coordinated with three sources already and all of them claimed that the Kapamilya noontime show will be occupying the said slot.
“Tatlo na ang nakakausap ko na iisa ang sinasabi. Mukhang ang It’s Showtime na ang ookupa ng noontime show ng GMA 7 na iniwan ng Tahanang Pinakamasaya. At ang sabi’y hintayin na lang daw natin ang formal announcement, aba! Totoo kaya ito?”
But for now, he cannot speak for sure but wait for the formal and final announcement from ABS-CBN and GMA – two companies who were formerly rivals in the television prior to the former’s failed franchise renewal bid.
