PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that Shear Line and amihan will bring scattered rain showers over parts of the country.

On Thursday (March 14, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Amihan, easterlies, and shear line will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that shear line will continue to affect the eastern parts of Central and Southern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will continue to be felt in Northern Luzon.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.

“Asahan pa rin ang maulang panahon sa ilang bahagi ng Luzon, kabilang ang Aurora, Quezon and Camarines Norte dulot ng shear line,” said Estareja

The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.

“Meron pa ring epekto ng amihan, asahan ang makulimlim na panahon sa Cagayan Valley at partly cloudy to cloudy skies sa Cordillera region na may tiyansa rin ng mahihinang pag ulan,” he added.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Generally fair weather is expected over Visayas and Mindanao except for low chances of rain. No tropical cyclone is expected to enter or form within the Philippine area of responsibility until the weekend.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The rest of Mindanao will bring slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
