Baron Geisler Finds Inspiration in Cristine Reyes’s Films During Rehabilitation
BARON GEISLER – Actor Baron Geisler developed an admiration for Cristine Reyes during rehabilitation.
Cristine Reyes just did drama with Baron Geisler under the direction of “Doll House” Megaman Maria Ancheta. Baron recently revealed that he is a fan of Cristine and her films “No Other Woman” (2011) and “The Gifted” (2014).
The actor shared this during the media conference of their movie together with Cristine, “Dearly Beloved,” which took place at Viva Café, Cubao, Quezon City, on Wednesday noon, March 13, 2024.
Baron Geisler narrated that he admired Cristine when he watched her films while he was in a rehabilitation center due to his vices. “To be honest, I’m a fan, fan ako ng movies ni Cristine,” said Baron.
“Alam niyo po kung saan ko pinanood? Sa rehab. This was years back.
“Ito yung time na akala ko wala na akong chance sa industriya. Akala ko, magiging fisherman na lang ako, mangingisda.
“Totoo yon. Kaya po na-starstuck ako kay Cristine kasi dahil yon sa movies na pinanood ko, kasama ko yung mga fellow recoveries sa rehabilitation center.”
Baron Geisler’s admiration for Cristine reportedly grew because of the actress’s good qualities she showed on the first day of their shooting for Dearly Beloved. According to him, Cristine was the first one to approach, introduce herself, and engage in conversation with Baron’s wife, Jamie Evangelista.
“Sobrang bait ni Cristine. Sa first shooting day namin, nandoon yung wife ko.”
After this, Baron faced Cristine to personally thank her.
He said, “I wanna thank you because you made an effort to go to the sala and talk to my wife.
“Sobrang nakakatuwa yon and so humble of you to do that.
“Sabi ko, ‘Wow , ang galing!’ Nawala yung intimidation ko to work with you.”
Cristine was unaware of Baron defending her against netizens who said she was difficult to work with.
Cristine only found out about the story during the media conference of Dearly Beloved when Baron shared his response to the X (formerly Twitter) posts of those who were criticizing the actress.
