Malabon City Government Starts Distributing ‘Malabon Ahon’ School Kits to Students
The city government of Malabon has started distributing ‘Malabon Ahon’ school kits to kindergarten students.
School kits play an important role in the academic journey of students, especially those from underprivileged communities. These kits, often contain essential supplies like notebooks, pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, and backpacks.
School kits are more than just items as they represent access to education and opportunities for learning. It provides students with the necessary tools to engage actively in their education.
In many communities, families may struggle to afford basic school supplies. Providing school kits helps level the playing field by ensuring that all students, regardless of their economic background, have access to the tools they need to succeed in school.
When students have the necessary supplies, they can focus more on learning and participating in classroom activities. They don’t have to worry about borrowing materials or feeling left out because they lack essential tools.
Last Monday (March 4, 2024). Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the distribution in eight schools across the city. Thousands of students from various schools received the school kits.
A total of 1,733 kindergarten students from Malabon Elementary School, Dampalit Integrated School, Dampalit Elementary School 1, Santulan Elementary School, Panghulo Elementary School, Panghulo Elementary School 1, Maysilo Elementary School, and Acacia Elementary School have received the kits.
The ‘Malabon Ahon’ school kit includes a backpack, food container, cup, school supplies, a pair of socks, and an umbrella.
Meanwhile, around 6,577 students from 28 public schools are expected to receive school kits until March 12, 2024.
The distribution of these school kits aims to support students in their education and provide them with essential tools for learning. It is part of the city’s efforts to ensure that every student has access to the necessary resources to thrive academically.
