Senior High School Students Received Kits for Their Online Class
Barangay Cutcot, Pulilan, Bulacan senior high school and college students have received online class kits given by the local youth government.
200 senior high school and college students in the said Barangay are now enjoying the kits provided by their Sangguniang Kabataan for their opening of the class online. Each kit called “online class essentials” has a study tabletop, flash drive, earphones, ballpen, notebook, highlighter, and correction tape.
According to the report of ABS-CBN, Rochelle Ann Valdez, SK chairman of Barangay Cutcot, said it became their response to the “Sana All” posts of their youth hoping they would be given this supplies. They also borrowed the idea from their first project in Pulilan because they saw that it could be beneficial to the students.
They also saw the situation of many family’s livelihoods affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to her, they use the funds previously set aside for sports activities to buy items in the online class essentials kit.

Based on the report, barangay residents are first registered on social media to identify who is qualified to be given and items are personally distributed to the barangay. The development of the project has been a challenge for the group because the fund must also be adapted to the number of beneficiaries.
The gratitude of the students for the use also went to the posts online. This was followed by other SKs in the town who also distributed their kits even though the items they could afford were limited.
