List of SSS Calamity Loan Requirements for Application Process
SSS CALAMITY LOAN REQUIREMENTS – Here are the documents that must be submitted in applying for a loan to the Social Security System.
In the Philippines, one of the huge advantages in being a member of the Social Security System, more popularly called SSS, with an updated account is your qualification to the SSS Calamity Loan.
Truth be told that natural disasters’ impacts can range from damages to structures to the loss of the source of income to death. Also, many people only realized the value of being eligible to apply for a Calamity Loan after their area has been devastated by an earthquake, typhoon, tsunami, etc.
In the country, one of the most popular Calamity Loan offers is the SSS Calamity Loan. To apply for the offer, there are SSS Calamity Loan requirements which depend if the member-borrower will be filing the loan or it will be filed by an authorized representative.
Before applying for the loan, take a review of the following eligibility criteria set by the state-run social insurance institution:
- a minimum of 24 monthly contributions posted and three (3) of which must have been posted within the last 12-month period before the month of filing of loan application
- at least 60 years old upon the filing of the loan application
- not a recipient of any final SSS benefit nor was refunded SSS contributions
- has updated payments in case of existing loans with the SSS
As mentioned earlier, the SSS Salary Loan requirements may vary. Here are the documents that must be submitted to the state-run social insurance agency if the member-borrower will be the one who will file the loan application:
- one (1) copy of the SSS calamity loan assistance application form
- original copy of barangay certification
- original copy of valid ID
In case the loan application will be filed by an authorized representative of the member who want to apply for the loan, here are the required documents:
- one (1) copy of the SSS calamity loan assistance application form
- original copy of authorization letter
- original copy of barangay certificate
- printed scanned copies of valid ID/documents of the OFW or seafarer member
- original copy of valid ID or document of the authorized representative
