PAGASA Says Northeast Monsoon to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that the northeast monsoon will bring light rains over parts of the country.

On Monday (March 4, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that the northeast monsoon will continue to affect Northern Luzon on Monday and bring light rains to Batanes, Cagayan, and Isabela. Amihan is the cold wind blowing from Siberia.

“Based sa ating latest satellite images, ang northeast monsoon ay nakakaapekto sa Extreme Northern Luzon na magdadala ng mahihinang pag-ulan,” Badrina said.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

The easterlies are the weather system caused by the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

The easterlies and the localized thunderstorms will bring the same weather to Visayas, Palawan, including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro. Similar weather condition is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
