Robin Padilla Appeals To Stop The “IV Drip” Issue
ROBIN PADILLA – Senator Robin Padilla urged the press to put an end to the “IV drip” issue of his wife Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla.
The pictures of Mariel Padilla getting an IV drip in her husband Senator Robin Padilla’s senate office generated widespread criticism, as many were disappointed that the esteemed senate setting seemed to be turned into a beauty salon or skincare clinic during the treatment.
Mariel uploaded a photo of the session, prominently featuring the office’s official seal in the background. However, she quickly deleted the pictures after they gained viral attention online.

Senator Robin Padilla apologized for any negative perceptions arising from the images, saying, “Kung may nakita po silang masama sa larawan na ‘yan, paumanhin po.”
Senator Nancy Binay, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges, also commented on the IV drip issue, stressing the importance of people being cautious and mindful in their actions.
In response to social media criticism, actress-host Mariel Padilla issued an apology on Sunday to the Senate and the public for undergoing a Vitamin C drip in her husband Senator Robin Padilla’s office. In a statement posted by Mariel on Instagram, she clarified that the drip she received was Vitamin C, not glutathione.

Robin Padilla briefly engaged with the press at the Senate, where the focus was on obtaining information about the contents of the letter related to an apology regarding his wife Mariel Padilla’s IV drip session in his office.
According to the video shared by ABS-CBN, a reporter asked if there was a separate letter addressed to Sen. Nancy Binay, to which he clarified that there was no separate letter and indicated that there was only one letter sent to the Senate.
When pressed for more details about the letter’s contents by another member of the press, he then responded.
“Alam niyo tigilan niyo na ang political issue na yan, nakaka-ano (gestured towards his heart), sa totoo lang. Andami nating dapat pag-usapan. Hindi siguro yung ganitong…wala naman tayong ano. Okay? Thank you po.”
