Is it true that Gabbi Garcia joined the national pageant?
Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia reacted to rumors that she was one of the candidates in Miss Universe Philippines 2024.
Gabbi is one of the most popular talents on the Kapuso network. Her acting career continues to soar high as the viewers now recognize her versatility and caliber as an actress like her role in Unbreak My Heart.
Aside from her talent, many people also admire Gabbi’s beauty. With this, fans would inevitably aspire to see her on a pageant stage someday.
Rumors surfaced that Gabbi Garcia joined the MUPH 2024. In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the Kapuso actress shared that she is flattered that people are rooting for her to be a beauty queen.
However, she denied that she joined one of the most prestigious national pageants. “While they were presenting the Miss Universe [Philippines candidates] I was in Japan. So hindi talaga siya totoo,” she said.
On the other hand, she expressed happiness that people consider that she’s fit to be a beauty queen but she knows that joining a pageant has a long process and it is not that easy.
Gabbi also shared that she received a message from Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee who asked her if the rumors were true.
“Actually, si Michelle, Michelle Dee texted me pa, asking if I was gonna join kasi nga there are rumors. There are also videos circulating pati ako nagulat,” the actress said. Michelle previously said that if there’s someone she wants to see joining a pageant, it would be Gabbi.
The Encantadia actress said that she is not closing her doors to the pageant but there will be no issue if it does not happen. Back in 2021, she expressed that she had plans to join a pageant.
“If it’s gonna happen, it’s gonna happen. If not, I’m also okay with it. Kasi hindi naman lahat, like realistic-wise, it’s not easy to join, especially for me who has a lot of contracts,” she said.
Gabbi Garcia also said that she is currently tied with a lot of brands and with her projects as a Kapuso star.
