Gabbi Garcia Congratulates Fellow Kapuso Star Michelle Dee for Winning MUPH 2023 Crown

GABBI GARCIA – Miss Universe PH 2023 Michelle Dee received a congratulatory message from fellow Kapuso star Gabbi Garcia.

The reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2023, Michelle Dee is Melanie Marquez’s daughter, a former Miss International who won the title in 1979. Michelle has experience competing in pageants. In 2019 she was hailed as Miss World Philippines, and in 2022 she was crowned Miss Philippines Tourism. She competed in her third national pageant this year and won.

The 28-year-old celebrity is the second Miss Universe Philippines titleholder who won the Miss World Philippines title, next to Fil-Aussie beauty queen Catriona Gray who won the Miss Universe title in 2018. During Miss World 2019, Michelle was among the top 12 contestants, whereas Catriona placed among the top 5 finalists in Miss World 2016.

The coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 was held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last Saturday. Michelle Dee not only won the title of MUPH 2023 but also a number of awards during the preliminary competition. These include Miss Zion Philippines, Miss Pond’s, and Miss Aqua Boracay.

She also won the Best in Evening Gown Award, the same award she won when she placed second in the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 competition, just behind the winner Celeste Cortesi.

Among those who congratulated Michelle Dee on her MUPH pageant win was Kapuso star Gabbi Garcia. The “Mga Lihim ni Urduja” actress took to Twitter to express her thoughts post-MUPH finals night.
