Toni Rose Gayda shared her experience as an Eat Bulaga host

Former Eat Bulaga host Toni Rose Gayda revealed the past that she and Bossing Vic Sotto had.

Toni was one of the many celebrities who had the chance to be part of the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines. She was a mainstay host for almost 18 years. However, she had to leave the show in 2014 to focus on taking care of her family.

Based on the article in Inquirer, in a recent interview on journalist Julius Babao’s YouTube channel, Toni Rose talked about her stint in the Kapuso show.

She also revealed what could have transpired between her and Bossing Vic. Toni Rose Gayda revealed that the veteran comedian-host tried to court her but she did not let any romantic feelings start between them.

She admitted that she did not want his personal life will be entangled in the professional aspect. “Hindi ko pinayagan. Maybe, ganon (nagparamdam) konti. Pero kasi mahirap kung karelasyon mo ‘yung kasama mo mahirap lalo for me kasi nga sabi ko selosa ako,” Toni Rose revealed.

In 2014, she decided to leave the show. Toni Rose had to take care of her ailing mother. At that time, her two children were at the hospital also for different reasons. With this problem in her personal life, she felt ashamed that she could not fulfill her duty as a host.

Hindi ko nakayanan. Sabi ko, I cannot give my best and nahiya naman ako kay Mr. Tuviera and kay Malou,” Toni Rose said.

At first, she was thinking of having an indefinite leave. However, eventually, she decided that it was best for her to just leave the show.

Toni Rose Gayda also shared that she will forever be grateful to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, known as the iconic TVJ trio. “If there’s a blessing that I’d consider is nakatrabaho ko ang TVJ because ang sarap nilang katrabaho, ang sarap nilang kasama. Joey would really make you feel welcome. Si Bossing naman sobrang bait pero mahiyain,” the former EB Dabarkad shared.
