PAGASA UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies will bring hot and humid weather over parts of the country.

On Thursday (February 22, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

The warm easterlies will bring hot and humid weather to several areas in the country. It will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Estareja stated that the northeast monsoon might return in the following days, but this does not mean that temperatures would quickly drop.

The amihan season in the Philippines is expected to end in the second or third week of March.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected area to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
