Male Teacher Expresses Sorrow Over State of Current Generation
A male teacher goes viral and elicits reactions online after expressing sorrow over the state of current generation.
The Facebook account “Pahina ni Henry” shared his frustration and disappointment with his students. The post quickly circulated online and garnered various reactions from netizens.
The educator’s message shows the challenges that teachers face in their respective classrooms. His expresses his desire for high standards education where merit reigns.
However, he finds it difficult to teach a generation that struggles with simple identification-type exams. His students don’t even bother to request a five-minute review before an exam. The current generation prefers to explore social media algorithms rather than understanding historical events.
The teacher described himself as being in a place where addiction doesn’t just mean substances but also includes the allure of online games and social media.
He sees that they’re shaping a generation that often says, “Grades don’t define you” to avoid taking responsibility. But this idea sometimes lets students be lazy and not try hard.
Also, the way grades are given can be a problem. If a student gets a 75, some people think it’s bad and blame the teacher for not giving higher grades to make students happy. This shows the tough things teachers deal with today.

“Huwag dibdibin! Ngitian na lang.
Nais ko sanang maging guro na may mataas na standard, yung tipong you will get the grade that you deserve, kaso naiisip ko. . .
