YOGURT COMPANY CHALLENGE – A yogurt company rewards PHP563,000 to individuals who successfully refrain from using their phones for a month.

Siggi’s, the Icelandic yogurt brand, offers this amount to 10 participants who will join the company’s Digital Detox Program. Participants must be willing to refrain from using their smartphones for a month.
The Digital Detox Program is inspired by the popular “Dry January” trend, where people abstain from consuming alcoholic beverages from January 1 to January 31 to start the New Year with a healthy lifestyle.
Siggi’s challenge is for participants in the Digital Detox Program to see if they can disconnect from the digital world and re-engage with the real world. The selected participants’ smartphones will be stored in a provided box during the challenge.
For a month, participants will live as if they had returned to a time when gadgets were not in use. The ten lucky ones selected will receive USD 10,000, a retro flip phone with a prepaid SIM card for emergencies, and a three-month supply of Siggi’s yogurt to stay energetic while undertaking the tech-free adventure.
According to the company’s statement on its website, “We believe in the power of living a simpler life with fewer distractions. One of the biggest distractions in our lives today is our phones. In fact, the average person spends 5.4 hours on their phones each day.”
