Julia Barretto has an upcoming series with Korean and Indonesian actors
Actress Julia Barretto expressed gratitude and happiness for being part of the upcoming Viu series Secret Ingredient with Korean actor Sang Heon Lee.
Julia has concentrated more on doing movies these past few years. However, this year, she will do a series that will be released on one of the most popular streaming platforms. In this project, she will have the chance to work with actors from different countries.
Just recently Sang Heon shared a photo with Julia on his Instagram story. His caption stated that they are doing a secret project. The actress reposted this on her IG story.
Aside from Sang Heon Lee, Julia Barretto will be working with Indonesian actor Nicholas Saputra in this project, based on the article in Abante.
Nicholas said that this is his second time visiting the Philippines. “It is great to come back and experience the Filipino hospitality. It feels like home, the Filipinos are quite similar in terms of culture and how they express themselves, it is just a matter of different language,” he said.
Julia said that this project excites her as this is very refreshing for her. She is also thankful to be given this kind of opportunity in her acting career.
“I love that I am able to have this opportunity and it gives you new experiences. I am really enjoying this moment because it is new. It is light on set. There is so much I am learning from a Korean director and co-actors,” she said.
The actress also said that she is excited to work with everyone on the set, including those who are behind the camera. “For all of this to come to life, I’m so grateful I was chosen to play Maya,” she added.
Meanwhile, following Sang Yeon Lee’s confirmation of his project with Julia Barretto, rumors surfaced that the leading lady role was first offered to Nadine Lustre. Allegedly, Nadine refused to do this project because she did not agree with the talent fee that was offered to her.
